It’s raining. No matter if you’re reading this post right now or the next week because it’s raining and it will rain then. I like the rain, but it’s also cold outside and I do not really wanted to have a cold nose… since October. On the other hand, do you know that kind of day when nothing goes well and decide to abandon everything just to make sure you don’t make them worse? Well yesterday was that kind of day, I decided to draw a diagonal line across the whole page named 10 Oct. from my agenda and make myself a gift: a whole day only for me and my person.
On the corner of the desk, there was a ray of white uniform light, a pale light blocked by the cloud cover. The ray painted the pile of books in white, and on the top of it was a pink packet, something like an envelope. I was in Greece when I accepted the StarSkin challenge. I planned to open the boxes in a day in which: I either have plenty of time for me, or a day of an important event for which I should prepare myself for hours. It seems that the first version arrived faster than expected…
I filled the bath tub with hot water, the mirrors became mate, I closed my phone and I opened the box. Four rectangles fell from the little box. First, a cardboard folded in two, said: “Starskin Beauty invites you … discover the secrets behind the celebrity skin.” Really ..? I had thought suspiciously. And I started to read. Theoretically, everything seemed very interested. Practically …
… It was twice more interesting!
The first package, a small, pinkish one, was a try-out, ie a sample. A little smiley consisting of three layers: two for protection and one made by… bio-cellulose. I applied the smiley on the back of my hand and waited a little while. The little man began to shrink and so I knew it was the time to take it off. I rinsed my hand, wiped it with a towel, and the result was… a very fine skin, soft, firm. Hmm..
I was more curious this time, so I tried immediately the little yellow sachet. In it it was a sponge, having the form of which is used in the application of the powder. The sponge was moist and had a ribbon on one side. Judging by the format, I put my fingers under the white ribbon and started passing it over the cheeks, over the forehead and back again… The feeling was great! On the sachet said to massage the skin for 2-3 minutes, but I think I added some minutes, because the feeling was very pleasant. You should feel what perfumes were in the room.. I wanted to catch the scent in a bottle and upload it here on the blog, but you know it is not possible. I suggest, however, that when you try the GlowStar procedure, do it in the bathroom over the sink, because the little sponge is very generous in substance. You know those pictures from the 60’s women who had face masks made of various vegetables? Well this Puff saves us from the effort of preparing a home-made face mask, and also, its composition has natural extracts of carrot and broccoli. Finally, I washed the skin with clean water and had a refreshed-skin feeling… it is something you have to feel and understand and you’ll become a fan instantly. I felt like I was easier with a layer of skin, like the air flow through the pores so deep.
I left for the final the green sachet containing a Bio-Cellulose Mask Coconut SecondSkin. It is not a cream-type mask which you have to uniformize with your fingers, but a bio-cellulose mask, an elastic one having the form of a “face” which molds to the skin.
Overall, my experience with the StarSkin products was very “refreshing”. I do not use creams and very rarely I use foundation, so I’m very carefully what products touch my face. But occasionally I use a very simple cream, moisturizing and easy. This challenge attracted me first by the quality of the products, followed by the well-deserved reputation of the StarSkin brand. Afară plouă. Nu contează dacă vei citi acest articol acum sau peste o săptămână pentru că plouă acum și va ploua și atunci. Îmi place ploaia, dar e frig și chiar nu-mi doream să am vârful nasului rece… încă din Octombrie. Pe de altă parte, știți și voi genul acela de zi în care nu totul iese așa cum ai plănuit și decizi să lași totul baltă ca să nu strici lucrurile mai rău, știți nu? Ei bine ieri a fost genul acela de zi, în care am decis să trag o linie diagonală peste toată pagina 10 Oct. din agendă și să-mi acord o zi întreagă mie și persoanei mele.
Pe colțul comodei cădea o rază de lumină albă, uniformă, o lumină din aceea orbitoare blocată de pătura de nori. Raza îmbrăca frumos grămada de cărți în vârful cărora stătea un pachețel roz, un fel de plic cartonat cu burduf. Eram în Grecia când am acceptat provocarea celor de la StarSkin. Îmi plănuisem să deschid cutiuța într-o zi în care: ori să am timp berechet pentru mine, ori o zi cu un eveniment important pentru care ar trebui să mă pregătesc ore în șir. Se pare însă, că prima variantă a sosit mai repede decât ma așteptam…
Mi-am umplut cada cu apă fierbinte, încât oglinzile au devenit mate, mi-am închis telefonul și am desfăcut cutiuța. Din ea, au căzut 4 dreptunghiuri. Primul, un carton îndoit pe mijloc, spunea: ”Starskin Beauty invites you… discover the secrets behind the celebrity skin.” Zău..? se gândise suspicioasa de mine. Și m-am apucat să citesc. Teoretic, totul părea foarte interesat. Practic însă…
…a fost de două ori mai interesant!
Primul pliculeț, unul mic, rozaliu, a fost un try-out, adică o mostră. Un smiley micuț, format din 3 straturi: două de protecție și unul din… bio-celuloză. L-am lipit de dosul palmei și am așteptat puțin timp. Omulețul a început să se strângă și astfel am înțeles că era momentul să îl dau jos. Mi-am clătit mâna, am șters-o cu un prosop, iar rezultatul a fost… o piele foarte fină, catifelată, fermă. Hmm..
Am fost mai curioasă de această dată, așa că am încercat imediat și pliculețul galben. În acesta se afla un burețel, de forma celor care se folosesc la aplicarea pudrei. Burețelul era umed și avea niște asperități pe o parte. Judecând după format, mi-am băgat degetele sub panglica albă și am început să îl trec ușor peste obraji, peste frunte și din nou, din nou… Senzația a fost super! Pe pliculeț scria să masez pielea 2-3 minute, dar cred ca am depășit timpul, pentru că senzația era foarte plăcută. Ar fi trebuit să simțiți ce parfumuri erau în cameră.. aș fi vrut să prind mirosul într-o sticluță și să îl upload-ez aici, pe blog, dar știți și voi că nu este posibil. Vă sfătuiesc însă, ca atunci când veți încerca și voi procedura GlowStar, să o faceți în baie, peste chiuvetă, căci burețelul exfoliant este foarte generos în substanță. Știți pozele acelea veci din anii 60 cu femei care își fac măști din diverse legume? Ei bine acest Puff ne scutește de efortul preparării unei măști home-made deși are în compoziția sa extracte naturale de Morcovi și de Brocoli. La final, mi-am clătit pielea cu apă curată iar senzația de piele revigorată… este ceva ce trebuie să simțiți și voi ca să înțelegeți și să deveniți fani-instant. Simțeam de parcă eram mai ușoară cu un strat de piele, de parcă aerul pătrundea adânc prin pori.
Am lăsat la final pliculețul verde care conținea o mască SecondSkin Coconut Bio-Cellulose. Nu este o mască de tip cremă pe care să o întinzi cu degetele, ci este o mască elastică din bio-celuloză sub formă de ”față” care se mulează pe piele.
Per total, experiența mea cu produsele StarSkin a fost foarte ”revigorantă”. Eu nu folosesc creme și foarte, foarte rar folosesc fondul de ten, așadar am mare grijă ce produse îmi ating pielea feței. Folosesc însă din când în când o cremă foarte simplă, hidratantă și ușoară. În această provocare m-a atras în primul rând calitatea produselor, fiind urmată de renumele binemeritat al brandului StarSkin și de răsfățul pe care l-am primit. Judecând după prejudecăți, dacă doriți să încercați aceste produse de răsfăț, ar trebui să uitați de brandurile micuțe care, pe lângă alte produse, oferă și o gamă de măști faciale… StarSkin este altceva, este ca o cafea profesională pentru ten, ambalată în pliculețe fericite… și este 100% bio!
Dacă sunt câteva lucruri esențiale de știut despre mine care v-ar face să aveți încredere în ce spun, cred că ar fi momentul să amintesc două dintre ele: nu apreciez lucruri sau oameni, decât dacă mă impresionează cu adevărat și sunt o persoană sinceră. Întotdeauna.
