Ahh! Tocmai m-am întors din vacanță și m-a apucat de tot ce am lăsat neterminat când am plecat de acasă… Printre acestea includ și articolul de față, căci am început să îl scriu cu o zi înainte de a pleca, atunci când au ajuns în poșta mea cele 3 balsamuri de buze despre care vă povestesc aici.
În urmă cu câteva săptămâni, am găsit pe internet (pe Instagram ca să fiu mai exactă) un brand fresh condus de o tânără femeie, sub numele căruia se produceau diverse cosmetice, toate prezentate în imagini impecabile. Știți aura aceea care învăluie Weheartit-ul și Pinterest-ul?? Cea albă cu plante verzi și imagini realizate de sus?? Curioasă din fire și impresionată de imaginea brand-ului, am aflat că absolut toate produsele Sweet Cecily’s sunt 100% bio, naturale. Și, deși sunt preparate ”în casă” cum s-ar spune, au textura și caracteristicile unor cosmetice veritabile. Însă cel mai și cel mai mult mi-a plăcut faptul că au o varietate foarte mare de arome, cel puțin când vine vorba de balsamurile de buze, căci acolo am poposit cel mai mult. Pe lângă aromele clasice de căpșuni, ciocolată sau lămâie, am găsit la ei pe website și arome mai speciale precum Cosmopolitan Cocktail, Mojito sau Pina Colada! Desigur, într-un final am ales două dintre acestea, dar și Prosecco & Peach. Nu am menționat faptul că n-au fost scumpe: cele 3 balsamuri au costat 10,5 Lire. Apoi, înainte de a-mi trimite comanda am văzut că se poate comanda și în cantități mai mari de la ei, iar produsele pot fi și personalizate, cu monogramă sau cu diverse texte.
După ce am lăudat produsele destul, deși merită, vreau să vă mai povestesc puțin despre brand în sine: Eu îl am la suflet, deoarece am văzut că totul are la bază doar câteva persoane, printre care și fondatoarea. Acești oameni lucrează chiar ei la creșterea acestui brand, iar acest aspect este unul de lăudat. Mai mult, rețeta nu este un secret, pentru că doritorii pot achiziționa seturi ”do it yourself” cu toate ingredientele și recipientele necesare realizării unor astfel de balsamuri de buze. Iar, pentru cei care doresc să facă cuiva un cadou special și nu au inspirație, există de cumpărat cadouri gata gândite, cum ar fi seturile de produse pentru față, pentru buze sau… pentru tot corpul.
Cum spuneam, n-am avut timpul necesar să încerc aceste balsamuri naturale acasă, așa că le-am luat cu mine în vacanță, unde mi-au prins atât de bine! A fost o decizie inspirată, pe bune, căci soarele grec și apa sărată nu mi-au ajutat corpul să se hidrateze ci din contră! Însă balsamurile mele bio din bagaj mi-au salvat buzele, menținându-le tot timpul hidratate și.. gustoase. Spun asta deoarece mă gândesc la următorul aspect: Eu am mare grijă ce mănânc (dacă nu este cheat day 🙂 ) și știm cu toții că rujurile dispar de pe buze pentru că le mâncăm, deci vrând nevrând ingerez diverse E-uri și chimicale… Însă dacă acum se întâmplă să-mi mănânc balsamul de pe buze măcar știu că acesta este făcut din ceară de albine, unt de cocos și de shea. Ahh! I have just returned from holiday and grabbed everything I’ve left unfinished when I left home… These include this article, because I started to write it the day before leaving, when the 3 lip balms that I will tell you a story about, arrived in my post.
A few weeks ago, I found on the internet (on Instagram to be more precise) a fresh brand led by a young woman, where were produced various cosmetics, all presented in impeccable images. You know that aura that envelops Weheartit site and Pinterest site?? The green plants and white images shooted from above?? Curious by nature, and impressed by the brand’s image, I found that absolutely all Sweet Cecily’s products are 100% bio and natural. And although they are prepared “in house” as they say, they have the texture and the characteristics of genuine beauty products. But the most and I liked is that they have a huge variety of flavors, at least when it comes to lip balms, for there I stopped most. Besides the classic flavors of strawberry, chocolate or lemon, I found on their website and special flavors such as Cocktail Cosmopolitan, Mojito or Pina Colada! Of course, in the end I’ve chosen two of them plus Prosecco & Peach. I did not mention that they were not expensive: 3 lip balms cost 10.5 Pounds. Then, before sending the order I saw that you can order products in larger quantities from them, and the products can be custom monogrammed or printed with various texts.
After I praised their products enough, although it was worth it, I should tell you a little more about the brand itself: I saw that everything is based on just a few people, including the founder. These people are working themselves to grow this brand, and this is amazing in these days. Moreover, the recipe is not a secret, because people can purchase “do it yourself” sets with all the necessary ingredients and containers for self-creating such lip balms. And for those who want to make someone a special gift and have no inspiration, there are ready to buy gifts such as sets of products for face, lips or …for the whole body, to buy from them.
As I said, I had no time to try these natural lip balm at home, so I took them with me on vacation, where they turned to be very useful! It was an inspired decision, really, for the Greek sun and the salted water didn’t help my body to hydrate, but the contrary! My bio lip softeners from the baggage saved my lips, keeping them hydrated and always.. tasty. I say this because I think about this fact: I am very careful about what I eat (if its not cheat day of course :)) and we all know that lipstick disappear because we eat it, so even if I don’t want to, I eat various E-s and chemicals. But now I know that even if I will eat my lip balm I know that it is made of beeswax, shea butter and coconut butter. Fair (more than) enough, I would say! 😉
