Fiecare dintre noi cunoaștem cel putin un băiat care să știe cine este Lara Croft. Lara este protagonista seriei de jocuri video Tomb Raider, serie începută în 1995 și terminată (sau nu) în 2013. Acum 3 ani stăteam pe internet și zburam cu gândul printre pagini și pagini web în care îmi căutam inspirația pentru costumul de Halloween. Vroiam să am un personaj care să fascineze și să fie cunoscut atât de femei cât și de bărbați, și să fie ceva diferit și nu foarte comun cum sunt pirații, WonderWoman, vampirii sau menajerele. ?

Inspirația a venit dintr-odată! Nu știu cum, însă mi-am amintit de domeniul jocurilor video și uite așa, mi s-a pus pata pe Tomb Raider. Eram mică atunci când unchiul meu juca acest joc non stop și eram deci, cât de cât familiarizată cu el și parcă aud și acum pașii Larei care fugea câte 3 pași și apoi se oprea ca nu cumva să fie luată prin surprindere de vreun obstacol. Problema este că mi-a fost greu să mă decid între Tomb Raider și Syberia, respectiv Lara Croft sau Kate Walker. Într-un final m-am găsit căutând costum pentru a o imita pe Lara, fiind mai populară decât Kate. Nu pot să mint, am fost și eu obsedată de jocuri video, dar nu de cele adventure ci de cele cu mașini, precum Blur sau NFS Carbon.

Desigur că toate costumele care se găseau de cumpărat nu îmi plăceau, așa că m-am apucat să îl creez eu singur. De ce aveam nevoie? Un maiou negru, o pereche de pantaloni army, două arme, și tot felul de accesorii. Ah! Și părul drept, desigur. Maioul îl aveam, pantalonii i-am transformat dintr-o salopetă veche tăindu-i jos pieptarul, părul l-am întins și am luat fel și fel de accesorii army de la verișorii mei mai mici. Era să uit, mănușile din piele le comandasem special pentru acest costum de pe un website dedicat bărbaților și stilului army, stil care m-a pasionat de când mă știu.

Anul acesta, după cum am spus și în articolul precedent, am făcut un UpGrade acestui personaj. Pentru machiaj, m-am inspirat din cosplay-ul Angelinei Jolie în ceea ce privește umbrele faciale. Coada de păr este combinată din părul meu întins și coada din păr natural de la Divisima. Apoi, am băgat mâinile în coadă, cum s-ar spune, am ciufulit-o bine și mi-am scos o șuviță de păr pe partea stângă a frunții.

Fundalul fotografiilor (care urmau a fi pixelate artificial), trebuiă să fie foarte simplu și verde. Așadar, Parcul Dendrologic Bazoș a fost destinația unde am realizat fotografiile. Am nimerit într-o oră de vârf când în parc se plimbau foarte muli oameni și am avut surpriza plăcută să-i aud de la depărtare pe cei care au dat ochii cu mine, zicând ”E Lara Croft, nu știi??” .

Cineva mi-a spus să nu postez acest costum sau fotografiile în sine pentru că nu este un costum cumpărat și nu pare profesional. Așa este, nu este cumpărat ci unul DIY (do it yourself). Cât despre pixeli, vă invit să vă uitați în fotografiile următoare cum arătau jocurile Tomb Raider în 1996- 2008. Aceasta este și ideea de bază a articolului. I was young when my uncle played the game non stop and I was so familiar with it. I can still hear Lara’s 3 steps and then stop so she can’t be surprised by any obstacle. The problem is that it was so hard to decide between Tomb Raider and Syberia, Kate Walker or Lara Croft respectively. Finally I found myself searching Lara costumes, being more popular than Kate. I can not lie, I have been obsessed with video games, but not with the adventure ones but the cars ones as Blur or NFS Carbon.

Of course there were lots of costumes on the internet that I didn’t like, so I started creating it myself. Why did I need? A black top, army pants, two guns, and all kinds of accessories. Ah! And straight hair, of course. I had the top, I turned the pants from a old jumpsuit by cutting down the breastplate, straightened the hair and I’ve got all sorts of army accessories from my younger cousins. Almost forgot, I brought the leather gloves specially for this suit, from on a website dedicated to men and army style, style wich passionates me since when I know myself.

This year, as I said in the previous article, I made an upgrade for this character. For makeup, I was inspired by Angelina Jolie’s cosplay, regarding the facial shadows. Tail hair is combined from my hair and a tail broight from Divisima. Then I put my hands in the hair, I ruffled it well and I pulled a strand of hair on the left side of the forehead.

The background images (which were to be pixelated artificial) should have been very simple and green. So Arboretum Bazoş where our destination for taking the pictures. I got a rush hour when very many people were visiting the park and we had a pleasant surprise to hear from those who saw me saying “It’s Lara Croft, don’t you know ??”.

Someone told me not to post the costume or the pictures itselves because it is not a bought costume and it does not seem professional. Yes, it is not bought but a DIY costume (do it yourself).
